Influenced by the French noise scene, the 70s era of NY No Wave, and acts such as Psychotic Monks, YAK, TY Segall, and Silver Apples, Andy Ray finds his scintillatingly psychedelic lo-fi noise rock signature in-between and within the potential of fortuitous creation.

His upcoming release, Cunts & Tapes Sessions Live, is a doorway into the rhythmic ritualism of live jam sessions. It captures art void of the veneer of perfectionism and direction. Each of the five singles transpires through the organically undesigned perpetuation of rhythm through effect-laden instrumentals.

The standout single, Glory Hole Outside My Window, is a meditatively carnal exploration of Kraut, desert rock and noise, which allows you to taste the momentum in the delayed Branca-Esque guitars and cavernous reverb that creates euphonic pockets within the unpredictable soundscape.

Andy Ray said: “ The musicians participating didn’t really care about the tape. Some knew nothing about it. We didn’t have a plan; just a couple of kraut, noise and drone elements interlinked in an overnight jam.

Like moving from place to place with a caravan of cheap musical equipment, my music flows around different genres without guilt. I want to make it with extraordinary ways,cunts, and the philosophy to keep it as simple as me. I want to capture real feelings and emotions. I want to pass through the background noises I record, the current moment. I like to be out of rhythm and let some mistakes reach the record; nothing in life is perfect.”
